Winnie & Walter June 2017 Release Premiere Day #4

Hello and welcome! Today is Day 4, and the last day of our showcase for the June release. We are featuring another amazing and adorable stamp set: Happy Dance with Evelin T Designs (+ coordinating dies). I decided to combine this set with several images from Party On with Evelin T Designs and Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs to create a party scene.

Since I am including so many critters, I decided to make a 3D pop up card so I don't have to layer the images directly on top of each other. This design also adds a lot of dramatic dimension to the card. (Which I just LOVE <3) Even though this is my first time making a pop up card, it really wasn't that hard and the result is totally worth the time and effort. :)

The layers of cardstock and die cut images did turn this into a bulkier card, so I created a belly band with this fun balloon image. The sentiment I white heat embossed is from Sentimental: Birthday, another a new set from this release and a must-have for all crafters! (Because who doesn't need a versatile birthday sentiment set like this one?!?)

I really enjoyed creating this card and I hope you liked it, too! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope I'll see you again soon.

STAMPlorations 4th Birthday Blog Hop ft. Fancy Frangipanis

Good morning and welcome to STAMPlorations' 4th Birthday blog hop! This new release includes some really gorgeous floral stamps, and for today's card I'm showcasing In Bloom: Fancy Frangipanis! It's my personal favorite out of the entire release. :-)

I started off by heat embossing the image with white embossing powder. Then I watercolored it with ZIG clean color real brush pens. I decided that I wanted to add some dimension to the flowers, so I cut them apart from the leaves and foam mounted them.

The sentiment and die are also part of this new release. The sentiment is from Bold Sentiments: Charming set and the die is Charming CUTplorations word die.

I then added some washi tape and gold thread to the top part of the card, and embellished it with some enamel dots and pearls. I really like how this card turned out, and I hope you enjoyed it, too! Be sure to check out my other post for this hop, and have wonderful day!

STAMPlorations 4th Birthday Blog Hop ft. Perfect Petunias

Hello and welcome to STAMPlorations' 4th Birthday blog hop! This release is definitely one of my favorites; if you love floral images like I do, you don't want to miss it! My first card is a simple one layer card featuring the In Bloom: Perfect Petunias set. I colored the image with Copic markers and paired it up with a sentiment from Fond Expressions 2. It's been quite a while since I've done one layer cards, so I hope you enjoyed today's simple design. Thanks so much for stopping by, and be sure to check out my other card for this hop!

Winnie & Walter June 2017 Release Premiere Day #3

Good morning! Today is Day 3 of Winnie & Walter's June release, and we're featuring the super lovely Party On with Evelin T Designs stamp set ( + cutaways)! We are also showcasing Scenery: Spotty Creative Screenings. Even though I didn't use it on today's card, I did feature it on my Day 1 project

I decided to keep this card relatively simple and let these ah-dorable (seriously!! they are!) critters be the focal point. I watercolored them with my ZIG brush pens and cut them out with the coordinating Party On with Evelin T Designs Cutaways

The rainbow background panel is created by sponging Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet distress inks. I then stamped and heat embossed the "happy birthday" sentiment (from Sentimental: Birthday set) on the top white panel and "you deserve a parade on your day"  on the bottom one. I embellished the card with some Doodlebug enamel dots and that finishes off the card! I hope you like this colorful birthday card. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Winnie & Walter June 2017 Release Premiere Day #2

Hi and welcome to Day 2 of Winnie & Walter's June release! Today we are showcasing From the Bottom of My Heart (+ coordinating dies), the free with qualifying $25 purchase stamp set: Happy Birthday to You, Sentimental: Birthday, and Big Balloon Cutaways.

For today's card I decided to create a large shaker using the super fun balloon cutaways. I left the largest two dies attached so I can die cut multiple balloon frames that have exactly the same size. I adhered two fun foam frames together to create the wall of the shaker, and used a glitter frame and acetate for the front window.

I really wanted to create a festive birthday card with lots of vibrant colors, so naturally I went with rainbow colors. After some trial and errors, I decided to stamp the cake image (from the Happy Birthday to You set) with Neon Red, Orange Soda, and Butter Bar Hero Arts shadow ink. I wanted to create an ombre effect so once I've inked up the stamp (top left photo), I used my finger and tapped on the inked edge (top right photo) to remove the harsh lines. (Bottom left photo)

For the middle shade, or Orange Soda in this case, I tapped on both the top edge and the bottom edge.

Sometimes you leave fingerprints on the stamp while you're tapping, but that's okay because you won't see them after layering two or three more coats of ink. (Thanks to the MISTI. Gotta love this tool!)

I completed the rainbow look by watercoloring the background with Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Dusty Concord and Wilted Violet distress inks. Then I added a handful of colorful sequins to the shaker window.

I did add some more texture to the card front by stenciling embossing paste with Scenery: Spotty Creative Screenings (to be featured on Thursday, June 29), although you can barely see it from the photos. Finally, I embellished the balloon with a silver bow and gemstone and that completes the card! I hope this colorful card has brightened up your day a little, thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Winnie & Walter June 2017 Release Premiere Day #1

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of Winnie & Walter's new release! Today is the premiere of In Bloom: Carolina's Florals with Angelica Suarez (and coordinating dies), Mini Scenery: Spotty, In a Word: Birthday Cutaway, and In a Word: Party Cutaway. This new In Bloom floral set really reminds me of In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya so I decided to combine images from both sets to create a mixed media card.

For the heart die cut, I first stamped the images with an ombre ink pad. Next, using the MISTI, I stamped again with VersaMark ink so I can heat emboss clear sparkly embossing powder to create a resist effect. Then I sponged Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade, and Carved Pumpkin distress inks to complete the rainbow look. The heart die I used is actually from a set (From the Bottom of My Heart Cutaways) that will be featured tomorrow, so stay tuned!

I am a die hard fan (no pun intended ;) ) of W&W's word dies so it's no surprise that I used the new birthday one as the sentiment once again. I paired it up with the big "happy" stamp from In Bloom: Carolina's Florals, which I gold heat embossed so it matches the gold spotty background.

For this project I used Scenery: Spotty Creative Screenings (to be featured on Thursday, June 29) with gold crackled embossing paste to create the background but you can also gold heat emboss the Mini Scenery: Spotty stamp to achieve a similar look. I embellished the card with a few enamel dots and some leaf die cuts, and that finishes off the card! I hope you enjoyed looking at my creation, and I hope you'll stop by again tomorrow. Thanks so much for visiting! :)
