Cute and Nerdy ft. The Greeting Farm

This is one of the first sets of stamps I bought from The Greeting Farm, and I'm so glad that I managed to snatch it before it got discontinued. Today I'm just creating a CAS cards; I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and paired it up with this clever and cute sentiment.

Picture Perfect Birthday ft. SugarPea & The Greeting Farm

Hello and good morning! Today I'm mixing images from different stamp sets again. I decided to pair up this charming guy from The Greeting Farm's My Sunshine set with the phone image from Sugar Pea Design's Hashtag Hipster set. Does it look like someone's taking a photo of him? Perhaps at his birthday party? ;)

  

I colored the image and the background with Copic markers, and the colors I've used are listed below:
Hair: E15, E27, E29 (Light to dark)
Skin: E00, YR00. E04 (shading)
Vest: R37, R39
Background: YR21, YR15  (Top to bottom)

I decided to keep this card rather CAS and finished it with the "Smile" sentiment from Sugar Pea Design's Wanderlust set. What do you think? I rarely make masculine birthday cards but I'm liking this one. I hope you enjoyed it, too!

Autumn Wreath ft. The Greeting Farm

Today I have another non-holiday card to share with you. The heart mask, floral wreath and colored card base are all inspired by Gloria's card (shown below).

First I stamped the little squirrel from The Greeting Farm's Wood Friends set. Then, masking his feet and tail, I stamped the tree stump image from Pix's Favorite by Mama Elephant. I used the second largest heart die from Memory Box's Cross Stitch My Heart set to cut out a mask. Then I stamped a bunch of little images around the mask to create my wreath. 
The acorn image is from the Wood Friends set I listed above, and the little mushroom and leaf are from the Pix's Favorite set I mentioned before. The small flower bouquet and the heart (bottom right corner) are from Mini Pony Party. It's a Simon Says Stamp exclusive collaboration with The Greeting Farm and was part of the STAMPtember release. The small pumpkin is from Meowlloween, another set from Mama Elephant. It's so nice that a lot of American stamp companies have similar styles: bold outlines and cute images, so that we can mix and match our stamps to create more unique scenes. 
 

All of the images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers. I've also heat embossed my squirrel with clear embossing powder and some images with sparkly ones. The sentiment is a Paper Smooches gold heat embossed die cut. To finish off the card, I traced the heart shape and added stitched lines with my black gel pen. You can see that it's a thicker pen that makes the lines more dimensional and reflective under light. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I hope you have enjoyed it, too!

DIY Bubble Background ft. The Greeting Farm

How are you enjoying your Christmas Holidays? I certainly treasure this time of the year when we get to chill with family and family and, well, have some time to craft! Since blogland has been filled with lots and lots of Christmas cards lately, I decided to make something different. So here is my non-holiday, summer (yes, summer in December :P) card. 

The circles in the background of Rahmat's card reminded me of bubbles, and that was what inspired me to create this card. I've CASEd the layout, the background and the vellum sentiment banner from her card, and also used the silver shimmer paste to embellish my card as silver is quite prominent in her design. 

For today's card I'm using a new stamp I received just a few weeks ago. It's called Maisea Mermaid from The Greeting Farm. (Isn't she adorable?!) I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic markers. 

I started making the background by blending Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean distress inks. Since I don't own any circle stamps yet, I decided to create my own circles/bubbles using the tools I have on hand. After quite a lot of experimenting, I came up with these methods: 
1. I used a medium sized brush and drew some circles free hand. However, instead of using plain water, I went with pearlized water which gives that shimmery look.
2. For the circle halos, I dabbed the back of my sponge dauber (the plastic part where you put your finger in) with the same pearlized water and "stamped" around the pearl circles. 
3. Use a VersaMark pen to draw some solid and hollow circles, then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.
4. With a small, cheap brush (because you don't want to damage the bristles), apply a layer of silver shimmer paste to some of the bubbles you have drawn previously. *clean/wash your brush right away!* 

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I stamped it on a strip of vellum and also heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. To make it more defined, I added stitched lines with my Copic multiliner (0.3) on both sides and adhered the ends to the back of the distressed panel. To finish off the card, I heat embossed the mermaid's tail and flower with sparkly embossing powder, and also added some wink of stella to her hair.

Witch Girl Halloween Card ft. The Greeting Farm

I was so pleased with the outcome of my little Halloween deer that I decided to experiment more with my stamps. And I just love how it turned out!

I have this darling set called "My Sunshine" from The Greeting Farm, and I decided to dress the girl up with a cute Halloween costume. 

 
I bought so many halloween stamps last year it's kinda crazy. But that also means I have more options to mix and match my stamps with. For today's card I'm using the witch hat from Lawn Fawn's Booyah set and the broom from Mama Elephant's Meowlloween set. 

After some masking I was able to turn her into a cute witch. I just love how she's holding one of her arms out like she's holding the broom. The images match so perfectly you can barely tell that they come from three different stamp sets. I've colored her with several Distress inks. The specific colors I used are listed below: 
Witch hat & Dress: Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Black Soot, Mustard Seed
Hair: Rusty Hinge
Skin: Tattered Rose, Scattered Straw
Broom: Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo
Blush: Abandoned Coral
