I know it's no where near New Years, but I was inspired by quite a few challenges that I decided to make this fresh and bright New Years card.
For today's card I'm stretching the use of some of my dies. The leaves and stem die on the left is from Stampin' Up's Beautiful Branches set. Instead of using the entire die, I decided to only die cut the leaves to create my wreath. I then die cut the double stitched circle by stacking two circle dies together.
This could've been a greeting card, a miss you card, or any card really, but this sentiment from My Favorite Things' Hand Lettered Holiday set made it a New Years card (which is one that I haven't done before!) I guess the fresh leaves reminded me of a fresh beginning of a new year, so that's why I've picked this sentiment. Hope you have enjoyed my creation today, and thanks for stopping by!
Challenges Entered:
MFT Sketch 301 / Word Art Wednesday / Joy Clair: Theme
Winnie & Walter: Stretch your dies (I used only the leaves part on the stem die to create my leaves wreath), color combo, CASE W&W (I'm inspired by the colors and the leaf die cuts on Heather's card) / Seven Hills Crafts: Color Challenge (I've picked the right image and used MFT's Hand Lettered Holiday set)
Not one, not two, but three fabulous entries to our October challenge... you're spoiling us! This is a stunning layout, so clean and contemporary in feel. The bluey-greens give a wonderfully fresh edge to a new year card, very eye catching. Thanks for joining us again at Seven Hills Crafts :)
