GIU Day Four - Lotus Encouragement Card

Hi everyone! I'm a little late with my fourth GIU post, but here it is! This set is called Steps of Courage and I thought it's perfect for an encouragement card. I was actually inspired by the sentiment from this set, and decided to have the black and white image contrasting the cheerful, rainbow background.
I ink blended the background with Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Peacock Feathers Distress inks. Then I stamped the image onto a separate piece of cardstock and fussy cut it out. After that I mounted it with two layers of foam tape and adhered some sequins to finish off the card. Thanks so much for stopping by, I'll be back with my last post tomorrow!

  10. This is great to use color for the background and embellishments and not for the image. It has an awesome graphic design look too with the angular background. And the little thin thread is a nice accent. Love this card, thank you for the great ideas!
