CAS Fall Trees Card

I was inspired by Marker Pop's color challenge graphic (featured below), and decided to create this CAS card. The stamp set I'm using today is Totally Trees from Stampin' Up. I like how there are complimentary shape block stamps for every tree. They definitely make it effortless to create this watercolored look! I've stamped with Carved Pumpkin, Barn Door and Mustard Seed distress inks. The stamped images are super splotchy, but then I used my water brush to move the ink around, fill in the white spaces and everything came together. For the rest of the card I used a dark brown pigment ink pad.
There aren't any sentiments in this set so I decided to use the ones in Mama Elephant's Pix's Favorite set. The autumn colors inspired me to make it into a Thanksgiving card, hence the "Thank you" sentiment. The "for being there" sentiment kinda reminds me of The Giving Tree, which ties back to my tree images.

After I finished all the stamping, I felt like this card needed a little extra something. I thought about adding some gold sequins but they are a bit too bold and I wanted to keep this super CAS. So I decided to flick my wink of stella for some subtle shine. I really like the simplicity and warmth of this card, and I hope you've enjoyed it, too!
