Simple Pastel Colors Card

This card is heavily inspired by Viva la Verve's April Sketch and the sample card (shown below). I used one of Stampin' Up's Sale-A-Bration stamp set: Sky is the Limit. It certainly is different from all of my other girlie, cute or floral stamp sets, but I really like "The sky is the limit" and "You send me soaring" sentiments included in this one. I have quite a few encouragement card sketches in mind, and this is one of them. (I apologize for the poor lighting in this photo, it gives my Neenah solar white card base a weird, green-yellowish hue!)

Casing Julee's design, I used an embossing folder to create some interest on the white panel of the card. It makes a big difference! I love how it adds extra details to this card but isn't too distracting.
To match the silver embossed sentiment, I added some silver string to the background and also a silver bow to the plane. It makes me laugh a little when I think about how unrealistic that is. Really, a bow on a biplane?! But that definitely doesn't bother a crafter, right? Of course I'm not letting go any chances to put a bow on my card!
