Ombre Stenciled Heart with Texture Paste

I've tried using texture paste on white and kraft cardstock. So I guess it's time to try it on black ones? Here's another card using STAMPloration's Rows of Hearts stencil and Memory Box's nesting heart dies. The "fabulous" word die is from Ellen Hutson, and I've paired it with a "stay" stamp from My Favorite Thing's Essential Sentiments set.

After applying a layer of texture paste and applying Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean distress inks on top, I sprayed several coats of Perfect Pearls for this shimmery look.
You can see here that I originally planned to use this "Be-You-tiful" die as the sentiment. To be honest I think both work well, but the "stay fabulous" sentiment is horizontal and resembles the sketch more.

STAMPlorations Spotlight: I was inspired by Maria's post about ombre texture paste. / Maker Pop Challenge #104: For the Girls

SSS: ATG / Word Art Wednesday  / Time Out: Friendship + Embossing (twist)

Winnie & Walter: Stretch your stamp (I've used the "stay" word from part of a sentiment and paired it with the die cut.) For a friend (I'm dedicating this to one of my best friends; she's really a super cheerful, enthusiastic, and fabulous person. Hope this card will brighten her day!) Pick n' Mix (black, lawn, cerulean + distress inks + gold + patterns) CAS Color Combo / Seven Hills Crafts: Color Challenge (I've picked the right image and used MFT's Essential Sentiments set)

  5. This card is just plain awesome! It was so interesting to see this done with the black background and it the gave the whole thing a totally different vibe than it would've had with white. I love beautiful stained glass and that's kind of what your stunning heart reminded me off. I love the balance of the popping black with the soft ombre effect. And the Perfect Pearls keep it shimmery and light. I especially loved the stitching/thread swirls in the background. This came together so nicely and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
